This was another beautiful timber framed house, grade 2 listed, but here my repairs were to a 40 metre cob wall which was in very poor condition. The wall had been un-rendered and will remain so. My repairs included crack stitching, minor filling to various holes, a major rebuild to remove modern hard brick repairs and replace these with cob blocks, repairs to the plinths and stabilisation of these plinths with a lime grout, removal of ivy and a general clean of the cob. This was followed by a deep new coat of thatch.
