This was a beautiful chalk cob cottage in Dorset that had in the past been rendered in cement. We carefully removed the cement and exposed an attractive plinth. We carried out repairs to the chalk cob using specialist techniques and also carried out the repointing in lime of the brick and flint plinth. We then applied a lime render to the cob walls. This was then finished in a breathable paint.
