This project is complete at this stage although the client wants further repairs in due course. Large areas have been repaired with cement mortars. As a result the bricks and the chalk have suffered and there is considerable spalling. Bands of the chalk have been replaced with brick, brick and render or flints.
Our repairs will close up the roof line, reinstate the chalk bands with quarried chalk, and replace damaged bricks. The new materials will be bedded in a suitable lime mortar to compliment the brick or chalk and the worst areas will be repointed with lime mortar.
