Case Studies

We are very proud of all the projects we take on. Below is just a small sample of some of our projects.

It’s worth noting that he weather plays a major role in our work. Not only do we keep several long-term forecasts, but we also listen to the daily weather report on Radio Four just before one o’clock. Careful planning is essential, as limework is highly sensitive to temperature, wind, sun, and rain.

Weather patterns often shape entire years of our work. For example, 2009 was largely spent on lime repointing and repairs to chalk cob walls. In contrast, the harsh winter of 2009/10 left many walls damaged, and much of 2010 was devoted to rebuilding collapsed chalk cob walls. This demand carried into 2011, which saw a large number of cob cottages requiring re-rendering.

If we can help you with your project, please do get in touch.
