Site visit to your house to assess the problems, discuss the conservation issues and advise on the types of traditional repairs I can provide.
The removal of cement mortars and repointing with lime mortars is often required.
I work solely with lime mortars and renders.
Damaged bricks, flint and stone are repaired or replaced using local materials.
Replacement of damaged chalk blocks in the Wiltshire vernacular walls is carried out with quarried chalk.
Cob walls are repaired using only clay or chalk cob materials. Cob bricks can be made on site.
I can also provide other conservation trades to complete your project.
My aim is to work closely with Conservation Officers prior to and during work on Listed Buildings.
