The weather plays a very large part in my life; not only do I have several long term forecasts on my computer but I listen to the weather daily on radio four just before one o'clock. This is all to plan my work decisions, as limework is affected by temperature, wind, sun and rain. Weather seems to affect whole years too; 2009 was a mixture of lime re-pointing and repairs to chalk cob walls whereas after the harsh winter of 2009/10, I spent most of 2010 re-building fallen chalk cob walls and carried forward into 2011 there are a large number of cob cottages to be rendered.
